Paint Correction is a service that takes our exterior maintenance package to the next level. Contamination is removed from the body of the car and on the windows to safely polish the vehicle. The paint correction restores color to dull paint and eliminates scratches, swirls, and marring. This step makes a dramatic difference on all cars, improving the look, shine, and protection on the paint. Unlike some detailers who apply glaze or wax to hide paint imperfections, we at Maestro will remove swirls and scratches without the use of "fillers".

Paint correction and protection is a long and labor intensive process that consist of compounding and polishing to bring back the paint's finish. With the use of proper tools and techniques, paint correction can remove up to 80-90%+ paint defects without jeopardizing the paint thickness. Each vehicle will be assessed using different pads/polishers to figure out the best combination to use to remove defects on paint.

One Step Polish & Protect

The Polish & Protect package is for vehicles with light paint defects. Polishing the vehicle will restore color to dull paint and eliminate very light swirl marks, scratches, and marring. This process greatly enhances surface gloss by removing defects that can mask the paint's true color. High quality wax will be applied to add depth to the paint after polishing. - Time required : 5 or more hours

Multi-Step Compound & Polish
 
Using multi-step correction will greatly improve the paint on the vehicle.  Removing or improving deep scratches and defects can bring back depth, gloss, clarity, and reflection on the paint. Using a compound will remove defects and scratches that cannot be removed by polish alone. Finer abrasive polishes are used after to refine the surface and restore gloss and clarity to the paint. A true paint correction will remove, not mask surface defects permanently. The finish of the paint will be greatly refined, resulting in a better than new condition after the multi-step paint correction. -Time required : 15 or more hours

  • Painted surfaces are decontaminated using a clay bar and Iron X
  • After washing and inspecting the condition of the paint, compound is used
  • Multiple polishing steps are utilized to refine the surface to a finished condition
